Microcentrifuge Tubes
Been having lots of fun with these!
I really really need to take my camera to uni my Iphone isn't up to the job!
Food colouring and water mixed together.Thare are 25 tubes here of each colour the first tube has 1 drop of food colouring then filled to 1.5ml with water then the next tube has 2 drops, then 3 drops etc up to 25 to get a basic colour graduation.
Really need to think up a concept properly now.Might be something to do with containing colour within a set area because as a race we contain a lot of things within a sepcified area and we are quite strict with it and digital colour has totally changed our use of it or could just be a simple use of colour theory.

Experiments
Did some more experiments today using food colouring.
The photos below are lit using an over head projector just to show the colours more clearly although the reds/pinks/purples are difficult to show.I forgot to take my camera to uni so these are from my iPhone but they are good enough for now.I've got a review on Thursday so I'm going to see if I can order some more test tubes I'm not sure I want 4,000 yet but Vicky who sent me the free samples wrote me a lovely note saying if I needed anything to contact her, so I will get in touch with her and see if I can get hold of 100 just to create one long spectrum to see what it looks like (hopefully as good as I think it will in my head) Plus make a rack of some kind soon and hopefully get a tutorial and see what my lecturers think!

Mash Up?
Food Colouring
Bought some food colouring today
Red, pink, yellow, green, blue :) should be getting some new photos up soon better quality and not stuff made of squash!
I dread to think how it will smell if I used water again not individual coloured objects which is the other option.
The Bucket Building project absolutely stank when I emptied it but that was in a very warm building where the sun was pretty much constantly on the bottles.I don't know if distilled water would make a difference?
Images below are a couple of shots of the Bucket Building project where I filled windows with bottles of water to indicate how the building was leaking and decaying. The colours were taken from colour inserts found in the windows. I used food colouring and beetroot juice (for the pink as it found it impossible to find pink food colouring at the time!) to colour the water and I am going to try experimenting with this again to see if I can make a colour spectrum using coloured water.
